It has been a while since I posted because it has been such a crazy week. We had Mae’s birthday party on Sunday and then it has been crazy busy at work this week and on Monday my mom called and told me that she had quit her job. I was shocked as she has worked there for almost 30 years but I’m sure that she will find something else that will make her a lot happier.
Mae’s birthday party went very well….she ended up saying that everyone could come to her party and she did not de-invite anyone. My mom and dad had gotten her a bike for her birthday and they did not wrap it so DW hid it in the garage so it could be brought in when she was ready to open presents. Mae and I went out to let the dog out and she looks over and she said, “Wow, that’s a nice bike!!” It was so funny, I just had to chuckle to myself.
GW has had his first week back at daycare and it has gone pretty well. He is so tired when he comes home at night though, on Tuesday he actually came home and took a nap in the chair in the middle of supper. He has been getting along very well with the kids though.
Lou on the other hand she is soooo ready to start kindergarton. In fact, the other day she asked me how many more days she had to go to Shelley’s? I told her one more day and then she was going to go to grandmas and then we would have 3 days off. Then she asked, “Do I get to start kindergarten then?” I said, “No we have all summer yet” Then I told her that I would have some vacation days coming up and she asked me, “Mom, when you take vacation, can I take vacation too?”
Jack is being a puppy and driving us crazy!!! He chews on everything so we really have to make sure that we keep everything up. He has had a couple of accidents but he is also doing pretty good with that, I’m sure with time that will get better. I keep threatening him that we are going to put him up for adoption.
GW has always been afraid to sleep in his room and we had told him that once school got out we were going to force him to sleep in his room so school got out on Thursday and on Saturday we told him that that was it, he was going to go to his room. So he asked if Jack could sleep in there and we told him that that was fine. So he picked up Jack’s kennel and took him to bed with him. Jack sleeps in kennel beside GW’s bed. It gives him some security and he has slept in his room every night now since Saturday….YEAH!!!!
