Today is the first day of school and one of my two kids was so excited to go (Lou-kindergarten G-2nd grade and Mae-3 year old preschool). Lou was super excited to go and she is very excited to be able to be in school every day, and not just three days a week this year. G was okay with it but not real excited. I went into work late and was able to walk the kids to school. Once we got there Lou had a few tears but we were finally able to sneak out of there. Mae would have been willing to take Lou’s spot if she would have let her. Mae is so excited to start school next week, so let’s hope that Tuesday goes well. Tomorrow we get to meet with her teacher and take all of her things to school so that should be fun for her. She seems to think that mommy and daddy are going to stay at school with her when we leave. I’m a little nervous because Lou has a new teacher and I don’t know her but then again every teacher has to be new at some point, right!! There are two separate classrooms this year so their class had to be split up a little bit. Sometimes I get stressed out about who is in what class also but it always seems to work out so I don’t know why I get all worked up about it.
R will be starting off her senior year this year also so that should be exciting for her. As of right now she is thinking about going to Iowa for college…..the next year will tell.
It seems like it is too soon for school to start but then again we had a pretty eventful summer and we got a lot of camping in and I am sure that we will camp a little bit more yet.
