I can’t believe it but my baby is old enough for school already, I have no idea where all of the time has went. The night before school she laid there and was kind of sad and told me that she wasn’t big enough for school she said, “mom, I’m not big enough to go to school I cry, I hit my head, I fall down, and look at my legs they are not very big.” I felt so sorry for her and I told her that she was big enough and that she would do just fine, then her big lip came out and she got some tears in her eyes. I told her that she couldn’t cry because then that would make mommy cry so she promised me no tears the next day. She was up yesterday by 6 and she was wondering if she could go to school right then. I told her that she would need to eat breakfast and then she could go.
We then went out to walk her out for school and the sky was so dark so we decided to drive there. Thank God that we did because it poured when we were there. I got some good pictures and Mae went right in with no tears. She even waved at me through the window with smiles on her face. There were a lot of kids there that we crying so I think that it made her just wonder what the heck was going on.
DW picked her up after school and then she called me and said that she had a really good day. She said that she got to paint, color, play with babies, sang lots of songs and she told me that no kids cried so she covered for the rest of her class.
Last night when I got home I told Mae that I did not think that she was big enough to go to school and that we should keep her home from now on and she said no way she was going back.
R also started her senior year yesterday she had some post and pictures on Facebook that make it sound like she is pretty excited to be a senior. We should be getting her senior pictures back anytime now and I am excited to see them. She is coming over tonight so we should be able to visit with her a little more about how things have been going for her.
