Time out!!!

This morning Mae was having a terrible temper tantrum because she wanted a package of gummies (she had already had one).  I told her no, that she didn’t need to have another one and so she went to the bedroom door and started opening it and then slamming it shut several times.  Her dad came out and was going to yell at her and tell her that she was naughty but I told him to just put her in time out so he did.  It broke her heart and it broke mine.  She sat there and she looked so sad and upset but she settled down and just sat there and looked with such sad sad eyes….We have been terrible with doing the whole time out thing with our older kids and now I just feel like they are too old and too naughty to have it work, but obviously it works well with Mae maybe we had better go back and try it with our other kids.
