We went camping last weekend and pretty much all weekend Mae did not feel very well, she had a fever and she seemed very tired and a little fussy. I was thinking that it was probably her teeth and possibly a little ear infection or something like that so on Mothers Day we were packing up everything and we ended up waiting in my aunt and uncles camper for D. to dump our camper. As we were waiting Mae was standing by the door and it happened to click and she went head over heals out the camper….I screamed and ran after her as I saw her hit each step one by one. When I picked her up she had a little bit of blood on her lip and I had to cuddle her again to calm her down. When she started calming down I checked her over and she had a big scrape on her neck an instant bruise on her foot a big red mark on her side and a bump on her head. I felt terrible but I just could not get to her fast enough. It was bad enough that she was not feeling the best then to have this happen to her.
I ended up taking her to urgent care on Sunday afternoon and they said that her ear was a little pink and her throat was a little red so they ended up putting her on antibiotics also because she has had a runny nose for at least a month. I feel bad putting her on antibiotics but she seemed to get a lot better after 24 hours of being on them.
Like I said before we camped last weekend and it was quite chilly….we had to run the heater in the camper all weekend but it worked out the kids really enjoy camping and getting away especially when we are camping with other people. Last weekend we camped with my mom and dad and my aunt and uncle so my cousin came up and the kids love hanging out with them. I’m sure that we will have another busy summer of camping.
