One tough cookie.....

Yesterday I had taken Mae to get her pictures taken for her 2 year birthday.  The first person that we had to take the photos was a younger gentleman and she did not want any part of that.  She just looked at him and would not even make an attempt to smile, then she would just put her arms out and want to come to me right away.  She buried her face in my shirt and wouldn’t even give his a chance, so after about 5 minutes of trying he grabbed a gal to help out….again she sat there with the deer in the headlights look, she acted like these people were stupid and she wasn’t falling for their silliness.  So I had to get to work.  I had to put feathers up her nose, get her nose with a flower, pretend like I was crying, I had to pretend like I was getting the photographer with a flower, and I had to keep telling her, “you better not smile!”  using the reverse psychology.  We were successful, she got about 88 photos when we were done and I had a lot of keepers.  Of course because I have the cutest children, they could not do anything and be cute…..LOL.  Anyways by the time we were done I was sweating bullets but it was all worth it.
