Last weekend was a big weekend for our little Lou, on Saturday morning we got up and she got her hair cut into a short little bob. It is so cute, it is right below her ears and pretty short on her neck, they even had to shave her neck a little bit because it was so short. I am hoping that now it grows back thicker and fuller, it just seems like her hair is going nowhere lately so we decided to try something different.
As soon as we left there she asked if she could go and get her ears pierced, she had asked a couple of weeks ago and I told her that it would hurt and she dropped it. Now the last week she has been pretty persistant on getting it done. So as soon as we got done with her hair cut she asked, "can I go get my ears pierced now?" I told her again, "Its gonna hurt a little bit!" She said that that was fine and she really wanted to get it done, so we ended up going home and I told her after her nap we could go, it was 11 and she said can I lay down right now? I said sure so when she woke up we were off to Claires. She did so well, she sat there so nice waiting and when they were all done, she gave me a big kiss and didn't say a word. We then walked through the mall for a little bit and still she did not say anything about them. When we were walking outside I said, "so did it feel good?" and she said "no, it kinda hurt." That was all that I got from her, and now she is so proud, she looks so grown up. When she took a shower that night she said, "can I get them wet?" and she kept asking if there were still 2 there. I don't regret having them done at all, it has really made her happy. Now hopefully she did not inherit my bad ears, mine were infected all of the time. I think we will be leaving these in for a while.
