It has been a while since I have posted so I will cover a few different things. Last Thursday Mae had her surgery on her eye, and it went very well. She did very well getting up and not having a bottle right away. We got to the hospital and she was able to play in the toyroom for a while and she really enjoyed that. When they took her for surgery she did very well going with the nurse and she was not scared at all. The surgery only lasted about 10 minutes and they said that it was very tight so I guess that it is a good thing that we had it done. I am sure that even if it wasn't tight they would have told us the same thing since they insisted that she have the surgery even though her eye appeared to be clear when we went in.
She is doing different stuff every day she is making this new cute face where she smiles and wrinkles up her nose, it is so cute...She is walking all around stuff and she always grabs onto her little walker or stroller and walks behind it to get around quicker. I am sure that it is just a matter of time before she takes off on her own.
Lou is still doing well with her new earrings, the other day she fell in the Yukon and it caught her earring. It did bleed, but we got home and cleaned it out and it seems to be doing pretty well.
GW is also growing up so much. His 5th b-day was on April 11th so it was a pretty busy weekend for us, we had the family b-day party on Saturday and then easter at our house on Sunday, it was a pretty busy weekend. He wanted a trampoline so bad for his b-day so mom and dad gave us some money to put towards it and we gave all of the kids a tramp for easter/GW's b-day. They loved it. On Monday I went to school with him for the day, he really enjoyed that, and was very happy to have me eat lunch with him. The weekend after his birthday we let him have a friends b-day party. He invited 7 friends over and all of them came but one. The one that did not come was the only girl that he invited and her mom said that she wasn't that comfortable being the only girl so they just dropped off a gift and left. They had a lot of fun, jumping on the tramp, playing with squirt guns and bubbles, and just running around being kids.
Last week GW had kindergarten round up. That did not go very well. He was excited to go on Thursday but when Friday came along he did not want to go, they had to have the teacher come out and get him out of the car because dad could not get him out. He said that he had a headache. It broke our hearts to make him go but we knew that if we gave into him now it would happen all of the time. He did go and when I called the school about an hour later I had them go and check on him and they said that he was doing fine, a few tears but doing good. The only reason he could give me for not wanting to go to school was because he had a headache and he did not want to get the rest of the kids sick and he didn't want to take a nap because someone told him that the other teacher made them take a long nap. When I picked him up from school he told me that his headache went away around lunch time so maybe he really did have a headache. I called the school and asked them to check his eyes since he had a couple of headaches last week and they checked them and said from what they saw they looked good.
I am home today with sick kids, Lou and GW are both sick. They puked so much last night it was very difficult. They were fighting for the toilet. Today they seem to be doing better just very tired. My house looked crazy, I had towels spread out all over the house. They both puked at day care at 2 different times, I felt terrible for Shelley having to clean it all up. She called this morning to check on them she felt pretty bad that they were sick.
DW's new job is going well, it is a lot to learn but I think he is going to enjoy it. He has had a lot of people ask him about refinancing, I guess now is the time to do it with rates so low.
We are remodeling our house and I can't wait for it to be done. We are putting in a new bedroom (hopefully that will make GW sleep in his own room) and siding and putting in a new door and window. We are spending a lot of money so hopefully I do not lose my job otherwise we could be hurting. It will be nice to have it all done though....
