At Mae's nine month check up the dr. recomended that we go back to the eye dr. for Mae's block tear duct. So we went on Friday and they set her up for surgery on March 19th. They said that it will be a very quick and easy procedure. They will just go in with a probe and if it drains correctly it will be done. If it doesn't then they will put in a stint and leave that in for a while and then that will help it drain properly.
It has been so sucky dealing with this. Even though it does not hurt her still we are constantly digging in her eyes and when she wakes up in the morning and after naps her eye is stuck shut. People are always asking if she has a cold in her eyes or an infection and we just have to tell them no its just a blocked tear duct.
So anyways they said that she will just be put under with a mask and then it will take between 5 and 15 minutes, then it will be all over and within a week to a month it should be all normal. I am a little nervous about it but when I ask around it is kind of common.
