9 month checkup.

Yesterday we had Mae's 9 month check up. It went pretty good, the doctor told us that we are doing pretty good and getting this parenting thing down pretty well after #3. We told him that that does not mean that there will be a number 4 though, he just chuckled. He had 6 kids himself in 9 years. Now thats crazy also. Anyways, she weighed 26lbs. and 7oz. (dad you will have to let me know if I reported this wrong you know how my memory is!!) He said that she definately is not starving. The only concern is is that she still has her blocked tear duct so he is having us go see the eye doctor and it will probably have to be probed. He said it is a very simple procedure but she will have to be put under to have this done. That scares me, but he thinks that the chances of it going away on its own now is slim to none since she is already 9 months and it is still there....so now we just need to wait for the appt. and see what the eye doctor wants to do. We could have had it done before she was 6 months but then they would have put her on a mummy board while she was awake and that freaked us out a little bit also. It will be nice to have it taken care of though, it is ridiculous how much her eye drains and we are always having to pick at it. I am sure that Mae will be happy to know we won't have to dig at her eye anymore.....
