Been very busy.....

I have not posted in quite a while because it has been a litte busy around my house.  GW turned 5 on April 11th and on April 13th we started some construction on our house.  We had our shed sided, (that has been there for about 3 years in Tyvek, we were contiplating painting it) we put another bedroom on our main floor, (one of which GW has not slept in yet) we painted the girls room, GW's room, our living room and our new entrance.  It all looks very nice.  Then we also had new siding put on the ouside of our house and gutters, and a new patio door.  I am so glad to have it all done.
After that all happened we had to start getting ready for Mae's 1st B-day party.  She had a great day, got lots of presents and ate some cake.  I thought for sure that she would dive into her cake but she acted like a little lady.
As soon as the whole birthday party was over we needed to start to get ready for a big garage sale. I have clothes coming out of my ears so we need to start to get rid of some of them and the baby stuff.  I guess that means either that we are done having kids or we will have to buy new if we have another.  I am pretty sure that we are done though, it is pretty hectic around my house and I have the perfect family now.
I then had to switch gears a little bit and get the camper ready for the big memorial day camping trip.  We went to Nashua and we had a great weekend.  Mae was pretty clingy but I think that she is getting teeth and we are switching her to whole milk so there are a lot of changes right now and having to sleep in a pack and play is a little different then the good ole' crib.  I am sure that as time goes on though it will get better.  I hope anyways otherwise it is going to be a long summer.
R got a job at the Pizza Ranch and her first day is tomorrow.   She is pretty excited about it, DW helped her by talking to the manager to see if he could give her a job.  It will be nice for her to earn some money and have something extra to do.  The only extra curricular thing that she does now is orchestra and that doesn't keep her that busy.  She plans on detassiling this summer also and taking drivers ed. so she will not have to much time to get into any trouble!!!  Overall she is a pretty good kid though, especially when I hear other parents talking about what their teenage kids are doing.
Mae has not decided to walk yet, I don't think that any of my kids walked before their first birthday, I was thinking she would be different.  She don't waste any time though trying to get around.  She has kind of a funny crawl, she just moves the one knee and drags the other one, it is kind of silly to watch, but hey it works and she is quite quick.
DW's job is going very well, he is learning new stuff everyday.  It is nice that his phone does not ring off the hook at night and we have had a lot more time on the weekends to ourselves.  No more showing houses all weekend or writing offers at 8 o'clock at night.  Don't get me wrong he loved selling real estate but now he is finding out how much time he really did put into it.  I think it helps him also that he has a boss so it keeps him on task more (I can't believe that me as a boss did not do that to him).  Plus the fact with all of the refi's that are happening with the lower interest rates always helps, he has been very busy.  This has been the perfect time for him to start his new career.
Lou has been doing well also, she got her ears pierced and has her new haircut, she is all about fashion now.  I lay her clothes out for her the night before and she never wears what I lay out she has to pick something out herself.  She is so excited to start school next year.  I think that she is ready for it.
GW has been having some episodes lately that he gets bothered by different things.  He had a really hard time of going to kindergarten and now he is having problems going to daycare.  I think that is because he is in that in between age.  He only has school 3 days a week so on the days that he does not have school, he gets bored at day care because the older kids are not there, so I totally believe that he is ready to go to school 5 days a week.  It is very difficult for me to send him to daycare every day when he cries and I know that he does not want to be there.  I would love to find someone that would come into my home and watch the kids a my house.  I like the interaction that they get with the other kids a day care but it is so hard on me to worry about how they are doing every day.  I am sure though that it is just a phase and this Friday is the last day of school for everyone so I am sure that next week should be a lot better but we will see.  We have been told my our daycare provider that she can not put up with all of the crying and that she does not know what she is going to do if it doesn't stop.  So I may have no choice but to quit my job and stay home with my kids, because I cannot take getting kicked out of another daycare!!!
