I had gotten an email from one of my very good friends that had told me to check out her blog. When I went and checked it out I thought that this would be a great opportunity for me to keep track of everything that is happening in my very busy life (thanks Bri!!). I just went through my friends blog tonight and I found that she had added a lot and it was quite comical. I hope that I can partake in mine as much as she has. I guess anything is better then nothing. I find it very difficult to even keep up with the baby book. I know that Lou's is missing a lot and that is something that I can never get back so hopefully I will be able to continue with this.
Just a quick run down of my life how it is right now. I am still working as a lab operator at FDAH. DW is still selling real estate with C-21, yes the economy is bad but he is still doing fine. It really has not affected our area that much. Oh yeah, I got my real estate license also. YEAH!!! I am the underpaid licensed assistant. I don't really do much either, but I should get some kind of compensation, don't you think?
R is going to be 15 in January, she is in the ninth grade- high school. She is the typical teenager that is constantly texting, on the computer, or watching Americas Next Top Model, or anything else that doesn't make much sense to us. She is doing great in school, we are very proud of her. She acts just like her dad so she is defiantely a class clown and very goofy. She is a lot of fun though. Oh yeah, she is also driving now, if her dad wasn't already bald he would be either losing more hair or it would be turning grey (we are seeing a little of it in his beard now). He gets pretty stressed riding with her (she likes to speed) He always threatens to quit driving with her but I always have to remind him that she needs all the practice she can get before she is out there on her own.
GW is 4, he is in 4 year old preschool and he loves it. He is a very good student. He is pretty quiet and listens very well. I should say that he is quiet with everyone but us. He is also in wresting right now. He really enjoys that also. He does so good, and it drives his father crazy beings he was a major basketball junkie!! When he got out of his first wresting practice DW said to him, now son go get your basketball shoes back on. It was pretty funny. I have always been so surprised to see that when they all have to sit in a group and they get taught something new then they send them out on their own to practice with a partner and I always think oh no, I wonder if GW was paying attention and he usually can go back and do exactly what he is supposed to. GW is a pretty good kid, he is very smart and he has a memory better then I have ever had. He can remember how to get to and from places and he can remember stuff that has happened years ago. I said something the other day about going to Martin Bros. to pick up some food and he said mom when you are there can you pick up some meatballs and don't run out of gas. Okay, it has probably been 2 years since we have been to Martin Bros. and yes we did run out of gas while we were sitting in the car waiting for DW. How does he remember this I do not know. You really have to watch what you say around him because he don't miss a thing. He is starting to get a little sassy as he is getting older. His favorite saying now when someone is not listening is "Do you need hearing aids?" Little stinker.
Lou, oh Lou, she is 2 (almost 3). She is our little princess/devil child. I mean this in a good way. You just never know how to take her. She will chew you up and spit you up in one minute and the next minute she has the softest heart you could ever imagine. She is bull headed, unfortunately she gets that from me!!! Let me tell you, no one will ever walk all over her. Lately I have been having to tell her that if she is naughty that she will not grow up to be a princess and that brings her to tears. She wants so much to be a BIG GIRL. She tells us that all of the time. This morning she woke up and her pull up was wet and tears started flowing out of her eyes and she was crying that she wanted to be a big girl. I told her that that will come with time, and that we are so proud of her for being potty trained during the day. I think that we made a mistake with her with putting her to bed with pull ups, it may have made her a little lazy. When she first potty trained herself she would get up in the night and go potty, now she doesn't and sometimes she wakes up wet, but I am sure before long she will have the hang of it.
Mae, she is soooo cute. We had her 6 month check up a week ago and she was 21 pounds 8 oz. She is a big girl, she was off of the charts for her weight of course. Its all of the good boobie milk!!! I am still nursing and I plan to until probably the 1st of the year and however long after that that I keep up. She is such a good nurser and I love the time that I get with her. She has not rolled over yet, man how could she she is so round. She is in 12-18 month clothes. She is sitting up though. It is so cute she will sit there forever and play with her toys, and she loves her jumperoo. She gets that thing just a flying. Especially when the other kids are around. It gets her all excited and she will really start jumping then. She has had a blocked tear duct since birth so her eye is always way crusty and mattery it really sucks. I joke with the doctor saying that we hope that it is gone for her wedding. He says that we will re-evaluate at 9 months and see, she may have to have a surgical procedure to have it fixed. Hopefully it will not come to that. Yes, we do know to try massage and warm compresses. Believe me we have been doing that for 6 months but it is funny how many calls we have gotten from people to tell us that that is what worked for their child.
Well, I will quit typing for now. I am so excited though to do this, and I promise from now on I will not type this much, I just had to get everyone caught up.
